Tribes Strategies

Tribes strategies are incorporated throughout the day and

are chosen based on desired learning outcome and age. They

are selected to meet specific goals such as:

Inclusion: presenting self, social skills, and using

Tribes agreements.

Influence: decisions and problem solving, resolving conflict,

and goal setting.

Community: energizing and celebrating.

Academics: acquiring knowledge, using analytical skills,

and demonstrating proficiency.

Examples of Tribes strategies are Current Events Debate,

Graphing Who We Are, Kitchen Kapers, and Name Wave. For more

information about Tribes strategies, please see Tribes

TLC, A New Way of Learning and Being Together by Jeanne Gibbs.
