Our Parent Association serves as one of the components of our governing structure. The Colby School is governed using the circular model. The Parent Association, Board of Directors, and Faculty Council are the three governing bodies of The Colby School. Our School Director serves as the liaison between these groups. When relevent, the Colby LLC also becomes a part of our governing structure.

The Parent Association is the primary coordinator of fundraising events and has created two extremely successful events, Scholarship Fundraiser and Circle of Friends. In addition, the Parent Association facilitates a wide variety of school events, including Harvest Fest, Winter Concert, class potlucks, an all school swim party, field day, graduation, book drives, blood drives, our Native Elders, senior citizen and community outreach programs, Coffee Mornings, and more! The Colby School is fortunate to have such dedicated parents. Their support is key to the success of our school.

The Parent Association meets monthly as a group and as necessary in committees. Each class has at least one Room Parent on the Parent Association Board who attends all Parent Association meetings and helps coordinate parent volunteers. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend Parent Association meetings.
