The Colby School Uniform Policy was developed to support an active education, to equalize socioeconomic status, and to present a positive, united image.

Preschool

As our Preschool students explore their world they do many hands-on activities such as painting, cooking, working with clay, running, dancing, and playing in the sensory tubs. While preschoolers do not have to wear The Colby School uniform daily, they should wear comfortable clothing that will allow them freedom of movement and no stress if accidentally stained. Closed-toed shoes such as sneakers are required. During the winter months students may leave a full set of outdoor clothing in the classroom and bring house slippers to wear in the classroom instead of their winter boots. We also encourage preschoolers to leave a full change of clothing in the classroom throughout the school year and to purchase a Colby School tee-shirt to wear during field trips. Colby tee-shirts can be purchased at the school office.

Lower School (K-5)

All students K - 5 must wear the standard uniform each day and the dress uniform during field trips. Our standard uniform is either khaki or jean bottoms with a Colby Shirt. See additional information below.

Our uniforms can be ordered through The Lands' End School Catalog at 800-469-2222 or online at landsend.com/school. The Colby School Preferred Number is #900039165. We participate in Lands' End's contribution program, which returns to us 3% of the total purchase price for purchases made from the School Uniform Catalog using our school number. Purchases made from the kids' and adults' catalogs do not qualify for the contribution program.

Please request The Colby School logo to be applied to all tops. Lands' End will apply our logo to any item ordered from them for an additional $5.30 per item, including items ordered from the kids' and adults' regular catalogs. Another option is a company in Salt Lake City called SDI that will monogram the Colby logo for about $3 per item. They are located at 502 West 300 South, Salt Lake City, phone (801) 363-6093. Our contact person is Natalie. Another option is Lone Pine, located in Heber.

Short and long sleeved t-shirts with our logo can be purchased at The Colby School throughout the year. Once a year, hooded sweatshirts and zippered sweatshirts with our logo can be ordered through the school.
