It doesn't take long for parents to notice a difference in their Colby students. At home, in the car, or at the grocery store it's not unusual for things learned at Colby like attentive listening and mutual respect to creep into the conversation. Giving "I" messages vs. "You" messages and listening with your "ears, eyes, heart, and mind" are just some of the things we cover in our Tribes for Parents classes. Not just for school, parents who use the tribes process in their homes and offices find it enhances communication and fosters a sense of community, which can lead to increased productivity in the work place and more "fun" time and less "stress" time at home.

We offer Tribes Training classes to our parents several times a year. There is a two-hour "quick-start" program for parents of preschoolers and a two-day training program for parents of K-8th graders. Our classes are taught by our Master Tribes trainer, Betsy Bacon.
